Purpose & Objectives
Kirkland Seventh-day Adventist School was established to provide a holistic educational and spiritual environment in which students can excel and develop academically, physically, socially, and emotionally. Reverence for God and kindness to others are qualities that are encouraged through effective role modeling by parents and teachers and through classroom instruction.
Kirkland Seventh-day Adventist School prepares students to be life-long learners, critical thinkers, and tomorrow’s leaders. Through a rigorous academic and holistic education, students are empowered with spiritual commitment, personal responsibility, integrity, leadership skills, and a caring social awareness and sensitivity to the community and world around them. KSDA students are prepared for success in life and for eternity
Philosophy and Purpose
At Kirkland Seventh-day Adventist School (KSDA) we recognize that each student is special. Each person’s opinions, backgrounds and unique qualities must be respected. We challenge students to discover and reach their own potential academically, socially, physically and spiritually.
To reach these goals, we carefully plan our curriculum, select our textbooks, and choose our teachers. Teacher selection is based on academic training and experience as well as an ability to impart knowledge, culture and spiritual values to their students. All of our teachers are fully credentialed.
True education means more than the pursuit of a certain course of study. It means more than a preparation for the life that now is. It has to do with the whole being, and with the whole period of existence possible to man. It is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual powers. It prepares the student for the joy of service in this world and for the higher joy of wider service in the world to come. - E. G. White
The KSDA educational program emphasizes key core values with our students as part of an intentional character development program.
