8th grade students are a wonderful group of young people. They are full of energy and learning potential. Beyond academics it is our purpose to provide each student the opportunity to know and accept Jesus Christ as a personal Savior and to share their love for Christ with others.

Welcome to the 2010-2011 School Year!  I am looking forward to my second year at KSDA.  It is my sincere desire to provide a quality environment where learning is challenging and enjoyable.  Together, we can make this happen.  See you on August 23rd.

Attendance: It is very important to make sure your child is at school every day. Some of the material we cover is group oriented and that cannot be made up, remember that participation is a large part of learning and is included in your child's grade.

Worship: Worship begins at 8:20 am every morning. It is during this time that we spend time with God, and also cover our Bible lesson. It is important that your child is on time so that they do not miss the Bible lesson and/or distrupt the classroom environment as we work in His word.

Daily Assignment Book: This year each student will be given a Daily Planner from the school.  It includes the school handbook.  We will be using this tool daily, as it will help them organize their various tasks.

NEW: This year a new policy will go into effect in our classroom.  Simply stated, there will be no late papers accepted. (Excused absences are the only exception.)  This will help the students stay focused and up to date and will assist the teacher as well.

Newsletter: Our newsletter, The 8th Grade Chronicle, will be published weekly.
