Enrollment, while selective, is not limited to children whose parents are members of a Seventh-day Adventist Church. Kirkland SDA School is a Christian school with high ideals and objectives and accepts students from many backgrounds who share these values. It is expected that when students present themselves for admission to the school, they thereby pledge to observe willingly all of its regulations and to uphold the Christian principles upon which the school is operated.
