8th Grade Home Room Teacher

Mark Griffin was born in Portland, Oregon and is a product of Adventist Education from the start. Mr. Griffin enjoyed living in the country, playing outdoors in the canyon behind his home, as well as doing water and snow sports growing up. He attended Walla Walla College and majored in mathematics. After getting married to his lovely wife Marilyn and graduating, he went back to school to acquire his education endorsements while teaching at Hood View Jr Academy and later received a Master’s degree in Ed. Admin. In the early 2000’s, he had two awesome little boys named Brendon and Keagan and had the opportunity to take some time off of teaching to be a full-time daddy. Later he and his wife started a dog boarding facility and a little farm with over 200 head of goats, sheep, cows, horses, chickens, and the occasional turkey named, “Thanksgiving.” After praying for a new ministry, he was called to be a Principal in Bend, Oregon, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Columbia Maryland, and Auburn, Washington. In October of 2019, the Griffin family was excited to welcome a new addition to the family Zayden Isaac Griffin. Mr. Griffin is proud to be called a servant for the Most High and also proud to be known as husband, father of 3 boys, brother to 3 siblings, Uncle to 14 nieces and nephews (Jamie being a special one), and teacher of the most awesome 7th graders ever!
